The winter solstice arrives quietly, marking the longest night of the year and a gentle turning back toward the light.
Here at Kindred Bees Farm, this season invites stillness. The land rests. The days are shorter. Much of the work happens indoors and inward, where ideas are held, plans are softened, and patience is practiced. There is comfort in letting things pause without needing to push them forward.
The solstice reminds us that growth does not always look like movement. Sometimes it looks like waiting. Like tending what cannot yet be seen. Like trusting that even in the darkest stretch, something is quietly shifting beneath the surface.
As the days begin to lengthen again, we carry forward a sense of intention. Choosing care over hurry. Choosing presence over productivity. Allowing the light to return in its own time.
Light returns, slowly.
